September 26th-29th – Red River Scramble: The Bluegrass Adventure Rally
Location: Lago Linda Hideaway, 950 Blacks Ridge Road, Beattyville, KY 4111
Headquartered at Lago Linda Hideaway, the scramble is a weekend of grassroots adventure motorcycle riding around the Red River Gorge Area. It is a self-guided rally where you choose your own adventure. Great opportunity to make new friends and ride together. The local roads near Lago Linda are our favorite stretches of twisty pavement, and the nearby “trails” offer challenges for all skill levels (Off-road riding is NOT required; see Where to Ride for more information). There are suggest routes for pavement, adventure and dual-sport. It is a free event to participate in. Each person is responsible to make their own lodging arrangements.
October 5 – WoodBooger 5K Main Street Mile Walk and Bigfoot Bash
The second annual Woodbooger 5K race is coming up on Saturday October 5th in downtown Beattyville. Run the 5K or walk the Main Street Mile. Sign up now on run-sign-up-dot-com and follow Beattyville Main Street Facebook Page for event news. Race registration fee is thirty-dollars. Be sure to hang around after the race for a Bigfoot Bash event at the Beattyville Town Square directly after the race. Awards, music, food, and Bigfoot actives fun for the whole family. Special guest Charlie Raymond, founder of KY Bigfoot research organization, as seen on the history channel, Animal Planet, and BBC will be set up to display his 3 decades of Bigfoot research!

October 10, 17, & 24th – Paranormal Tours at Firefly Hills 1930s Farmhouse. A stop on the KY After Dark Trail
Learn to use paranormal equipment and dive into the history of the haunted 1930s farmhouse at Firefly Hills Kentucky located on Pine Grove Road in Beattyville/Lee County. The farmhouse will be open to the pubic to tour and practice their paranormal skills on October 10th, 17th and 24th. Firefly Hills Kentucky is one of the stops on the Kentucky After Dark Trail. October 25-27th – Congleton Building Paranormal Tours at the Woolly Worm Festival
Outlaw Paranormal Invesigations, will be at the Woolly Worm Festival offering tours of the Congleton building, formerly the location of Gentry Congleton’s Hardware and Undertaking store circa 1930s. With their paranormal equipment, they will be taking readings around inside the building to detect any trace of paranormal activity.This location is a stop on the Kentucky After Dark Trail. October 26th – 3rd annual Halloween event at Ryders Ranch Campground
The tourism commission board meets every first Wednesday night of the month at Beattyville City Hall at 5:30pm. Sometimes the commission tours and has meetings on location. Please check the online calendar for any changes to location or meeting times.
